CAPT Annual Meeting

The Carolinas Association for Passenger Trains will meet in the Amtrak conference room at Raleigh Union Station on Saturday, November 18th between 2:00 and 5:00 PM. Due to city code restrictions the room can hold no more than 16 persons. All board members should immediately notify President Martin Wheeler if planning to attend. Other members who would like to attend may submit a request, and will be considered in chronological order for admission to the meeting if space allows. Those spots will determined after learning the exact number of board members attending. Any persons requesting a spot at the meeting will be notified if space is available,
and whether the request is being granted. Those attending the meeting should report to the baggage claim area to the left of the ticket counter by 2:00 pm! An Amtrak agent will escort attendees to the conference room located in the office area. There is no public or outside access to the conference room. A private Amtrak restroom will be available only to those in the conference room. Those not on time may not be able to get to the meeting room so it pays to get there early!

CAPT Official Notice of Election of Officers and Directors
Directors and Officers for the Carolinas Association for Passenger Trains will be elected at the
November 18, 2023 Annual General Membership meeting. Directors serve terms of two years, and officers are elected yearly. The Board of Directors consists of 12 to 18 members based on the percentage of CAPT members in North Carolina and South Carolina. This serves as official notice of the annual meeting and elections. Any member interested in running for the board should contact any member of the present board and provide biographical information for consideration, or be prepared to provide this information in person at the meeting. Current directors who are ending a term of two years should notify President Martin Wheeler if the intention is to run again! . Those who do not notify the President, or appear at the meeting will not be considered. The current CAPT Board serves as the official Nominating Committee.
