The Carolinas Association for Passenger Trains will meet in Charlotte, N.C., on Saturday, April 10th, at the Charlotte Trolley Powerhouse Museum. The museum is located just off South Tryon Street and Camden Road next to the Bland Street light rail station. We will have a room for the board meeting from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. For those arriving by train on the Piedmont, walk across the street from the Amtrak station and catch the CATS #11 bus to downtown at 10:14 a.m., 10:30 a.m. or 10:45 a.m., if the train runs a little late. Fare is $1.50 one way, and you can transfer to light rail (ask the driver). Get off at 7th Street and North Tryon Street near the Rock Bottom Restaurant. A number of CAPT members will be having lunch at the Rock Bottom beginning at 11:00 a.m. After lunch we will walk over to the 7th Street light rail station to go to the meeting location. After the meeting there should be time to ride the Lynx Blue Line to I-485, and return to 7th Street. If you plan to take the CATS #11 bus back to the Amtrak station you should do so no later than 5:00 p.m. at North Tryon Street and 7th Street.
