The Carolinas Association for Passenger Trains will meet in Asheville, N.C. on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Earth Fare. It is located at 66 Westgate Parkway. We will have a room for lunch and the board meeting, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. The establishment has a nice selection of food so you have the option of eating there for lunch, or on your own.

>From I-40 West, exit at 53B and take I-240 to exit 3. Turn North onto Cliff Street which becomes Westgate Parkway. Earth Fare is in the inner corner of the center.

>From I-26 North, take exit 31B (I-240) and go 3.3 miles onto I-240 to Exit 3B. Turn Right toward Westgate Parkway/Hilton Inn Drive and turn left onto Westgate Parkway. Earth Fare is in the inner corner of the center.

Major topics of discussion at the meeting will be status of the resolution drive in South Carolina for more and improved rail passenger service, and performance of the new third frequency Amtrak run between Charlotte and Raleigh.
