CAPT Board Meeting

The Carolinas Association for Passenger Trains will meet in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday, January 17, 2015. Lunch and the board meeting will be in the guest room of the Queen City Q Restaurant located at 225 East 6th Street next to the Lynx Light Rail line. It's next to Brixx Pizza in the 7th Street Station building.

Lunch will start at 11:00 am, so be prompt. The meeting will follow after lunch. The meeting will adjourn around 3:00 pm. At that time a number of vehicles will take those interested on a tour of the new City Lynx Gold Line streetcar alignment, and the route of the LYNX Blue Line light rail extension to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The streetcar service is expected to begin on March 31st. The Light Rail project is already under construction, with service projected to begin in the summer of 2017 between Uptown and the University.

For those arriving by Amtrak, Charlotte Area Transit bus route 11 picks up passengers at the Amtrak station, and will drop you off at 7th Street which is a short walk to the restaurant. Those arriving by auto can use the 7th Street Station parking deck. Parking can be validated at the restaurant.
