CAPT Board Meeting

The Carolinas Association for Passenger Trains will meet in Greensboro on Saturday, September 19, 2015.
The event will be in the meeting room of the National Railway Historical Society in the old Railway
Express Building. It's just west of the Depot building which houses the Amtrak station located at
236 East Washington Street. The board meeting will begin at 2:00 PM. and conclude by 5:00 PM.
After the meeting there should be time for dinner at a nearby restaurant for those returning home by
Amtrak's Carolinian and Piedmont service. Eating options include Natty Greene's
at 345 S. Elm Street, and the Liberty Oak at 100 W. Washington Street.
For those
using Amtrak to come to the meeting, the southbound Piedmont (#75) arrives at 1:16 PM. The northbound
Piedmont (#74) arrives at 1:32 PM. The southbound departure of the Carolinian (#79)
is scheduled at 6:32 PM, and the northbound departure of the Piedmont (#76) at 6:49 PM.
