Annual Membership Meeting

The Carolinas Association for Passenger Trains will meet in Columbia at the Richland County Public Library on Saturday, November 19, 2016. The address is 1431 Assembly Street.  The telephone number is 803-799-9084. We will meet in Room 201 at 1:00 PM. Ask for directions at the front if you have trouble finding the room. The room is ours until 4:00 PM

For those who may use Google Earth, GPS, or other mapping service enter the address “1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, S.C. 29201”.   Parking on the street around the library is generally available, and on Saturday meters are free. The rear entrance of the library is closed due to construction, and all must enter from the front entrance. 

If anyone would like to get together for lunch prior to the meeting, gather at the California Dreaming Restaurant at 401 S. Main Street, 29201 no later than 11:15 AM

CAPT Official Notice of Election of Officers and Directors

Directors and Officers for the Carolinas Association for Passenger Trains will be elected at the November 19, 2016, Annual General Membership meeting in Columbia, S.C.  Directors serve terms of two years, and officers are elected yearly. The Board of Directors consists of 12 to 18 members based on the percentage of CAPT members in North Carolina and South Carolina. This serves as official notice of the annual meeting and elections.  Any member interested in running for the board should contact any member of the present board and provide biographical information for consideration, or be prepared to provide this information in person at the meeting.   Current directors who are ending a term of two years should notify Secretary Phil Astwood at astwoodp@bellsouth.net if the intention is to run again. Those who do not notify the Secretary, or appear at the meeting will not be considered. The current CAPT Board serves as the official Nominating Committee.
